Welcome to Quoteable. By accessing or using our website at quoteable.com.au and/or our mobile application (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

1. About Quoteable

Quoteable is a two-sided marketplace that connects Australian homeowners with local tradespersons. We provide the platform for users to discover, communicate, and engage — but we are not a party to any agreement between homeowners and tradespersons.

2. Eligibility

To use Quoteable, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be a resident of Australia.
  • Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
  • If registering as a tradesperson, hold all required licences and insurances for your trade in your state or territory.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.
  • Keeping your profile information accurate and up to date.
  • Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

4. Homeowner Terms

As a homeowner using Quoteable, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate descriptions of jobs and projects you post.
  • Communicate respectfully with tradespersons on the platform.
  • Not post misleading, fraudulent, or spam job listings.
  • Understand that Quoteable does not guarantee the quality, timeliness, or completion of any work performed by tradespersons found through the platform.

5. Tradesperson Terms

As a tradesperson using Quoteable, you agree to:

  • Hold all licences, permits, and insurance required for your trade in your operating jurisdiction.
  • Provide accurate information about your qualifications, skills, and experience.
  • Communicate honestly and professionally with homeowners.
  • Not misrepresent your availability, pricing, or capabilities.
  • Comply with all applicable Australian consumer protection and trade regulations.

6. Platform Rules

All users agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten other users.
  • Post false, misleading, or defamatory content.
  • Attempt to circumvent or manipulate the platform's recommendation or matching systems.
  • Scrape, harvest, or collect user data from the platform.
  • Use automated systems or bots to access the platform without our express permission.

7. Fees and Payments

Quoteable is currently free to use for both homeowners and tradespersons. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or subscription plans in the future, with reasonable notice provided to existing users.

Any financial transactions between homeowners and tradespersons (quotes, payments for work, etc.) are solely between those parties. Quoteable does not process payments or act as an escrow service.

8. Intellectual Property

The Quoteable platform, including its design, logos, and software, is owned by Quoteable and protected by Australian intellectual property laws.

Content you upload to the platform (photos, descriptions, reviews) remains yours. By uploading content, you grant Quoteable a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the platform for the purpose of providing our services.

9. Reviews and Recommendations

Reviews and recommendations must be honest, based on genuine experiences, and comply with our Platform Rules. Quoteable reserves the right to remove reviews that are fraudulent, defamatory, or otherwise in breach of these Terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

Quoteable is a marketplace platform. We do not employ, endorse, or guarantee any tradesperson on our platform. To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:

  • We are not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of work performed by tradespersons found through the platform.
  • We are not liable for any disputes between homeowners and tradespersons.
  • Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the amount you have paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded or limited.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to other users or the platform.

12. Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from your use of the platform will be resolved in accordance with New South Wales law, and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
